The Hooked On Books Project is designed to promote literacy for pre-schoolers. It is a program that promotes school readiness and early literacy and instills a love of reading in our children.

Mother Daughter Book Clubs
Ages 7-9, 10-13 & 14-18
Meet once a month at the library and talk about a book you read. It's a great way to do something special with eachother.

Bird Feeder Craft * Saturday, January 10th

Make a basic bird feeder with peanut butter.

Basic Drawing Classes * Wednesday, January 14th
3:30pm | Ages 7 & 8 | Sign Up
With basic drawing books Amanda will teach you how to draw.

Tween Scene * Friday, January 16th

Drop by and give me your ideas on programs, books, movies and more. Help plan and promote programs for the library that you will enjoy!

Toddlers Tango * Saturday, January 17th

Join us for singing, dancing, music and more!

Finger Painting * Thursday, January 22nd

Have you always wanted to let your kids finger paint but not have to clean up the mess? Then bring them here to do it!

Be My Valentine * Wednesday, Febrary 11th
4pm | For the whole family | Sign Up
Join us with your family to listen to a story and make a valentine craft.

Snowfest * Saturday, February 14th
11am-2pm | Fun For the Whole Family!
Join us for snow sculpting contests, snowball fights, obstacle course and lots of snow fun!
Inside we'll have hot cocoa and crafts.
*Bring your own snow building materials.

Drop In Crafts * February 17th - 21st
Drop in during regular library hours to make a craft.

Handprint Mittens * Wedensday, Febriary 18th
3:30pm | Ages 3-8 | Sign Up
Come make handprint mittens to warm up your home.

Family Movie Night * Thursday, February 26th

Winter Warm Up
The Winter Warm up is 2 weeks of non-stop
programming for kids of all ages to get them out of the winter blues.

To kick off the Winter Warm Up we'll have a whole shelf of new Spring books waiting for you to check out!

3:30pm - Crazy Painting
Ages 8-11 | Sign Up
Try different kinds of painting; Hot Rod painting, Straw painting, Yarn painting, Q-Tip painting, Stamp painting, Ball painting...

Wednesday, March 18th

10am-12pm - Playdough Play Date
Ages 2-5 | Drop In

3pm - 5pm - Game On @ the Library
Ages 8-12 | Drop In
Come by and play Mario Kart on Game Cube or a Racing Game on PS2 with your friends!

3:30pm - Kitchen Critters
Ages 5-10 | Sign Up
Trace everyday kithcen objects onto construction paper, then use your imagination to turn them into little 9or big) kitchen critters!

Thursday, March 19th

3pm - Salt Dough Sculptures
Ages 4-10 | Sign Up
Come make a sculpture, let it dry at the library and come back on the 26th to paint them.

6pm - 8pm - Board Game Extravaganza!
Come by with your family or friends and play some board games around the library. Fun for all ages!

6:30pm - PJ Story Hour
Ages 2-5 | Sign Up
Come by in your PJ's for a story, snack and a little bedtime craft.

Can you survive the library and all the obstacles inside?

Ages 2-5 | Drop In
Let your kids go wild with our music instruments or dance with our fabric wands!

4pm - Hair Braiding
Ages 7-14 | Sign Up
Brittany from Totally U hair salon will be stoping by to show you how to do a couple of simple braids.

Tuesday, March 24th

3pm - Button Crafts
Ages 7-10 | Sign Up
Make fun pieces of art with only buttons, glue, a piece of paper and your imagination!

Wednesday, March 25th

10am-12pm - Cookie Cutter Stamping
Ages 2-5 | Drop In
Use cookie cutters to make neat pictures with paint and paper.

3pm - 5pm - Fairy Tale Afternoon
Ages 3-9 | Sign Up
Dress up in your best fairy tale costume and come to the library for a story, a little snack, a craft and lots of fun with your friends!

3pm - 5pm - Game On @ the Library
Ages 12-18 | Drop In
