Waterville Times (NY) Obituary Index: 1856-1895
The late Richard Brown, a great friend and volunteer of Waterville Public Library, compiled the attached database of obituaries that appeared in the pages of the Waterville Times from 1856 through 1895. This records of this database contain information about the obituaries of more than 2,100 individuals. We hope that a volunteer will step forward at some point to extend the index for the years after 1895.
We will always be grateful to Dick for his work on the obituary index. In 2008, his family made an extraordinary gift to the Library in his memory-- a state-of-the-art iMac desktop computer with 21 in. display monitor that is perfect for viewing digital images of historical documents, including the old Waterville Times pages.
