Summer Reading Program 2008

To start off the imaginative round of children's programming for the Library's Summer Reading Program, the Merry-Go-Round Youth Theatre performs its newest play, an amusing romp of a fractured fairy tale:
The Emperor's New Clothes.
Free admission.

Another season! Another show!

Orientation Monday, July 7, 10 a.m.

The OPL Drama Camp-a free Summer Reading program workshop for children aged 7 through 14-will strut and fret its way over five weeks for the really big show, a fairy tale of a play performed at the Oneida Castle Village Hall Friday evening August 8. Tom Lemery returns as Drama Camp Director, with Melinda Feldman as the Production Manager.

Imagination
Stories in Art

July 15-July 31
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

Teacher and artist Carol Cotten returns to the OPL to lead a free three-week workshop for children aged 8 to 15 years in paper making, watercolor and collage. Children will illustrate fantasy scenes as well as American Indian folklore.
