WELCOME

FOCUS:FAMILY READING—a family literacy program at the Oneida Public Library funded by the Central New York Community Foundation is designed to encourage children and their parents or guardians in the Greater Oneida area to read and learn together at home and in the library as well as to foster good family health and fitness.

Currently, FOCUS: FAMILY READING offers enrolled families with children aged 0 to 12 years of age free programs run by local professionals in the language arts, health and fitness:

Loving and Logical Parents Workshops
Little Lapsitters (for children aged 0-2)

The Oneida Public Library believes that parents are their children’s first teachers in life. The mission of FOCUS: FAMILY READING is to work with the entire family to develop language arts in the home and build the skills to create a healthy and successful family life.
