Rules of the Old Forge Library Association

Anyone with a valid Mid-York, machine-readable, library card may borrow library materials from the Old forge Library. Cards are available from all member libraries, and may be obtained at the Old Forge Library by applying at the front desk.
The following library materials may be borrowed for a two-week period.
An after-hours book drop is located at the main entrance of the library.
The fine for library materials is $.05 per item per library day.
Borrowing privileges will be discontinued if the borrower fails to make restitution of injured or lost library materials.
Exceptions to the Two-Week Borrowing Period
Art Prints 3 Month Period VHS Videocassettes 1 Week 16mm films 1 Week For an annual $10.00, no-fault insurance fee (paid to Mid-York Library System), you may borrow audio-visual material.
Should a book, part of the Old Forge Library collection, not be found on the shelves. it may be reserved at the desk. The patron will be notified of its availability.
For books not owned by the library, requests will be forwarded to the Mid-York Library System. The system's member libraries, the New York State Library, and members of the 3-R Council libraries will be searched in an attempt to locate a qualified request. Patrons will be notified whether or not the book can be obtained.
