2001: A Reading Odyssey

An Odyssey is an adventurous journey. The first to make an odyssey was Odysseus, a Greek hero whose journey home from the Trojan War took 10 long adventure filled years.

This summer you are invited to join a Reading Odyssey and travel not by car or boat or plane or even on foot, but rather by book. The power of words and your imagination can take you anywhere in the world or out of it.

Travel across the country or across the world in a blink of the eye.

Journey through time back hundreds or millions of years or explore a myrid of possible futures.

Travel through fantastic realms that exist only in the imagination of one person or many.

Plunge into the depths of the ocean or rocket through outer space.

The choice is yours. Open a book and begin.
