We need people from Tuesday through Sunday from the opening on April 11 through May 22 from noon until 5 PM. Stone Quarry Hill Art Park is located one mile east of Cazenovia, NY, off of U.S. Route 20. Showcasing both established and merging artists from across North America and beyond, the Art Park seeks to promote preservation of the land and the creation and exhibition of works inspired by the relationship between art and nature. If you are interested in helping out at the Art Park call Bob Rose, Volunteer Coordinator at (315)345-2698. From The Ground Up Therapeutic Horsemanship, Inc. (FTGU) offers horse related activities and riding instruction for those who are at-risk and/or have special needs. Volunteering in our lesson program (held from April to December) provides a chance to help others gain self-confidence, independence and empowerment through the power of the horse. Horses for Heroes is a new program we are starting in partnership with the Syracuse VA Hospital. We would like volunteers for these lessons to have military experience. Horse experience is not necessary as we provide training. We always need people to help with non-horse related tasks. Year-round volunteer opportunities include planning special events, grant writing, assisting with mailings and other administrative duties. That's all for today folks. Remember if you have an item for the E-Newsletter, send me an email at mb786@cornell.edu. Thanks, Mary Bartlett, Director RSVP of Madison County |
