Cazenovia High School Art Exhibit

A reception for Cazenovia High School artists, their families, friends and teachers will be held at the New Woodstock Free Library at 2106 Main Street from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, April 6. The public is invited to attend. The reception is free and refreshments will be served.

More than 50 works by Cazenovia High School Students are included in the annual showcase of scholastic art at the library. The library has hosted the

show every spring for the past 12 years. This year’s show includes paintings, drawings, photos, computer graphics and sculpture.

“This is the perfect opportunity for area residents to see the very high level of accomplishment Cazenovia School District students attain from art education in the district,” said library director Norm Parry. “Work of this caliber isn’t learned in a minute; this is the result of years of effective instruction and practice. We encourage everyone who visits the library to enjoy the work of our young artists.”

The student art exhibit will remain at the library through April 24, and will be followed by an exhibit by the Cazenovia Watercolor Society May 1 through May 30. The exhibits are open to the public during all regular library hours.

The New Woodstock Free Library is open Monday through Friday 1 to 5 p.m.,

Monday and Wednesday evenings 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 until 1.

The library is also open whenever the blue library symbol flag is flying out front.

Children’s hour is every Tuesday at 11 a.m.

A.C.E (After Class Event) is 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of every month.
