The Landmark Theater Portfolio won a Silver Award in this year’s 38th Annual Creativity Contest, and included in the 4th Annual International Association of Panoramic Photographers exhibit. Roger has been
working with panorama photos for many years, originally taping images
together with scotch tape. His earliest vision was of a panorama photo of a
park in Passaic, New Jersey that his father photographed. Everything changed
however with the introduction of digital cameras and Photoshop CS 3. It is
now possible to have unbroken images perfectly spliced together creating a
seamless image. It is this combination of digital camera, digital image, and
Photoshop CS3 that has made shooting panorama photos so intriguing for the
artist. It is addicting to say the least! Roger tries to go out a shoot
nearly every day. Each of the photos is made up of dozens of photos carefully stitched together. The prints are printed on archival Epson Photo Luster paper and then permanently mounted on industrial strength gator board. Roger De Muth is currently Associate Professor of Illustration at
Syracuse University in his 30th year. He is represented by the Chameleon
Gallery in Cazenovia, NY and Elise Rosenthal in Los Angeles. For more information and examples of work please visit www.mrpanoramaman.com or www.demuthdesign.com or rdemuth@syr.edu The photo is taken from the bridge looking north on Rippleton Cross Road of the Meadows Farm in Cazenovia. The image is made up of approximately 30 individual photographs carefully stitched together.
