EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

There is an emergency alarm in the library upstairs southwest room which will be automatically activated in case of a fire.

Staff and volunteers will make sure no ones reenters the building until deemed safe.

In case of medical emergency call 911

Emergency phone numbers will be posted near each phone and on the outside of the building near each entrance.

The fire extinguishers are located by the front door, in the children’s room by the computer, on top of the science fiction books, at the top of the stairs, and in the hallway next to the bathroom.

In the event of an emergency the staff member or volunteer on duty will notify the Manager and President of the Board of Trustees.  In the event that neither can be reached, the Vice President of the Board of Trustees shall be contacted.  In the event that the Vice President cannot be reached any board member should be contacted.  A list of Current Director and Board of Trustees can be found in the appendix.
