Our Book Talk series begins on this Friday October 1 at 7pm. The book being discussed is Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. Stop in and voice your opinions of this author and his work. Copies can still be obtained at the circulation desk. Stop in and pick up your copy today.

In addition to our book talk on Ray Bradbury's book, there will be a live video conference with Ray Bradbury at Colgate University in McGregory Hall, Room 209 from 7-9pm on Tuesday October 5. Stop in over there and talk with him.

Kiddies Korner starts next week. Children ages one to five are invited to attend (as well as their parents, grandparents etc.). Tuesday October 5 the topic is Dinosaurs. Tuesday October 12 the topic is Fire Prevention. Come on out and join us for some books, a craft and more. All the fun begins at 10:30am. A complete listing of all the topics can be obtained at the circulation desk.

Thursday October 7 will be another Dr. Seuss Story Hour with our very own Library Director, Brian Hildreth. New stories and new activities are planned. The fun starts at 6:30pm.

Family Bingo Night is back on Thursday October 14 at 6:30pm. Kids play for cool prizes and adults play for fun! Bring the entire family in for a game or two!

We have some new books in the library. We have in fiction: Hide Yourself Away by Mary Jane Clark, and Nora Roberts Born O'Hurley adopted by Tracy Clark. We also have in non fiction Michael T Klare's Blood and Oil. Thanks to Melanie Martin's adoption we have Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed on video.

Some books needing adoption are: The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty, Incubus Dreams by Laurel Hamilton, Double Homicide by Jonathan Kellerman, Light on Snow by Anita Shreve and Northern Lights by Nora Roberts.

Some movies needing adoption are: 13 going on 30, Ella Enchanted, Mean Girls, The Alamo, Fahrenheit 9/11, Secret Window and Raising Helen.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12-8pm and Tuesday and Saturday 10-2pm.
