Be sure to view John Weeks, wildlife illustrator’s, exhibit on display now in the library’s program room. His work will be on display the entire month of December.

The Friends Annual Silent Auction is almost over!  Stop in during library hours and view the display in the program room.  See an item that will make a good Christmas gift, or just like something—bid on it and you might win!  Bidding ends this Saturday December 9.

Join us for our preschool story hour, Kiddies Korner every other Tuesday.  Bring your toddler or preschool child in on Tuesday December 19 at 10:30am for “Christmas”.  If you can’t make it that day, join them for “Hats and Mittens” on Tuesday January 2.  Please feel free to pick up a schedule at the circulation desk.

This Friday December 8 from 5-8pm the Friends will be holding their annual Open House.  Stop in and meet some of the Friends and staff, enjoy some homemade goodies and enter to win Santa Claus, a children’s book.  Wildlife illustrator, John Weeks, will also be there from 7-8pm for an art reception for his work that will be on display beginning December 2.

On Saturday December 9 from 11am to 1pm our Gameboy Club will meet again!  Bring your gameboy and three games and join other fellow gamers.  Everything must be marked with your name.  Also, please bring a nutritious snack to share as it will be lunchtime.

Join us Wednesday December 13 at 6:30pm and learn about the Grinch Who Stole Christmas.  Also, play some Grinch games, do some activities and lots more.

On Saturday December 16 at 10:30am we will be making gifts for Mom and Dad.  Bring the kids in to make something for each parent.  We will even wrap them too.

Join Village and Town Historian, Sue Greenhagen, as she presents a talk, The Engine House: The Rest of It, on Monday December 18 at 6:30pm in the program room.

I will be hosting a program, “Where’s the North Pole?” on Friday December 22 at 6:30pm.  Come learn some interesting facts about the North Pole and then travel there with me!  Wear your PJ’s and bring something comfy to sit in.  Refreshments will be provided.  Please note: this program will run until 9pm.

The Friends of the Library are selling their new bags just in time for Christmas.  They are red and black and are about twice the size of the old ones.  They have a zipper and are waterproof.  There is a new design of the library on them as well.  Stop in and purchase one for yourself or as a Christmas gift.  They are $15 each.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:  The library will be closed beginning Monday December 25 until Monday January 1 to observe the holidays.  We will reopen Tuesday January 2 at 10am.  Please be sure to stop in and get plenty of materials to last over the break.  If you need to order something, please give at least two weeks to get the material in time.  The library staff would be more than happy to assist you.

Be sure to check out our new books arriving almost daily.  Stock up for those colder days ahead!  We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
