CALLING ALL KIDS:  Our sixth annual pumpkin coloring contest has begun! Children from toddler age up to and including 6th grade may participate.  Stop in anytime during the month of October to pick up your entry form.  All entries must be returned to the library NO LATER than Saturday October 18 at 4pm.  Winners will be announced at our Halloween party.

The rules are the same as always: 1) be as creative as possible, 2) tie it into reading or libraries if possible and 3) use any kind of art supplies (there are lots of other materials besides crayons and markers.)

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, will be beginning soon!  PLEASE NOTE: Due to scheduling, the program will start at 9:30am and run until 10:30am.  The library will be open at 9:30am for story hour participants only!  So join us Tuesday October 7 for Perfect Pets! Bring your toddler or preschool child in and hear some stories, songs and more!

Gaming Club returns to the library on Friday October 10 at 6:30pm.  Bring your handheld gaming system and join other enthusiasts as you share games and fun!  You can only bring 3 games and EVERYTHING must be marked with your name.

On Saturday October 11 from 12-3pm, our Fourth Annual Apple Fest will be happening!  Join us for apple-related games, apple trivia, face painting, a bake sale and lots more!!  Be sure to enter our Apple Bake-off!  Bring your best apple recipe to the library no later than 1:30pm that day.  Judging begins promptly at 2:00pm.  (Participants need not be from the Morrisville area.  Anyone can enter!)  There will be plenty to do for kids and adults alike! Bring the whole family for an afternoon of apple fun!!

Want some help carving your pumpkin?  We are having a pumpkin carving night on Wednesday October 15 at 6:30pm.  You bring the pumpkin and we will help you carve it.  Leave the mess at the library and take the finished project home!

The book talk series will begin again soon!  The first book being discussed is Sara Gruen’s Water for Elephants.  Copies can be picked up now for the talk on Friday October 17 at 7pm. PLEASE NOTE:  The day has been changed from October 3 to October 17!

We are in dire need of new programming room chairs.  We are starting a collection to purchase them.  If you would like to contribute please send, or stop in and drop off a monetary donation.  Checks can be made to the Morrisville Public Library.  Thank you for your contribution!

The library will be closed on Monday October 13 in observance of Columbus Day.  We will reopen on Tuesday October 14 at 10am.

Fall into a good book as the leaves fall from the trees!  We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
