Our Summer Reading Program is almost over (on Friday August 15 at 8pm)!  Be sure to finish reading your eight hours (or more) and get those reading records in so you can participate in the graduation on Wednesday August 20 at 6:30pm.

This Friday August 8 at 6:30pm, we will be having A Bug’s Eye View Night!  There will be stories, art and a chance to look at some household objects under high concentration!

On Monday August 11 at 6:30pm, we will be having a Buggy Make-n-take!  Stop in and enjoy a few insect crafts to make with your mom or dad.  There will be several crafts for children to make WITH THEIR PARENTS in the program room.  The crafts, supplies and directions (everything you need), will be there.  Stop in to the library anytime after 6:30pm with your parent, grandparent, older sibling, etc and make together some cool crafts to take home!  PLEASE NOTE:  This is not a program but an individual family activity night.

On Friday August 22 at 6:30pm we will be having another Gaming Club.  Bring your handheld gaming system and join other enthusiasts as you share games and fun!  You can only bring 3 games and EVERYTHING must be marked with your name.

Some of our literacy bags are ready for checkout!  What is a literacy bag?  It’s a cloth bag for children and inside awaits some fun things!  There is a book, a cassette or CD with the story on it, an activity or prop pertaining to the book, and a list of fun activities to do at home about that theme.  So please, stop in and look at them in the children’s room.  Only a few are there but as I finish them more and more are out for our younger patrons!

Grab some great books to read over the summer!  We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
