August 3 at I would like to mention about an experience I had last week. It was the first day of Summer Reading and we had several children in our doors in a small matter of time to sign up! The place was hopping which I love to see! In walks a 4-H group with a big jar of pennies. Once when they have been in the library they had seen how we were collecting pennies for our Building Restoration Fund (one penny at a time). They decided to collect on their own for the library! I was very pleased to see these children do such a wonderful thing for our beloved library. I, the staff and the Board of Trustees are extremely grateful for their selfless act! We are one step closer to getting the library restored! Thank you! Some new books this week are: Double Agents by WEB Griffin, Bungalow 2 Danielle Steel, Quickie by James Patterson, Judas Strain by James Rollins, Peony in Love by Lisa See, Sammy’s House by Kristen Gore, New England White by Stephen Carter, Drop Dead Beautiful by Jackie Collins, High Noon by Nora Roberts, Devil’s Labyrinth by John Saul, Dragons of the Highlord Skies by Margaret Weis, Tin Roof Blowdown by James Lee Burke, What Matters Most by Luanne Rice, World Without Us by Alan Weisman, Someone to Love by Jude Deveraux and First Commandment by Brad Thor.
