Join us this Friday June 27 at 6pm for National Treasure part 2.   Please note change in time.  As always, popcorn is provided.  Just bring something comfy to sit in.

School is over!  When it is, please join us on Monday June 30 for our end of school bash!  Join us as we celebrate summer vacation!  There will be all sorts of games as well as refreshments!

Join us on Tuesday July 1 at 1pm for a puppet show on Autism.  Children will learn about this condition through the use of puppets and be able to ask questions too.  It’s a great way for children to learn about this and not feel alarmed.  I encourage parents to bring their children in

Before you know it, our Summer Reading Program will begin!  The theme this year is “Catch the Reading Bug!”  Our program begins on Monday July 7 and runs until Friday August 15.  The summer reading program is open to all kids ages 1-17.  Spend the summer with us learning about bugs, eat some bugs, make buggy crafts, go on a bug scavenger hunt and lots more!

Be sure to stop in anytime the week of July 7 and sign your child up for the program.  Then through the course of the next six weeks your child needs to read at least 8 hours.  If completing this requirement, your child will be invited to attend our graduation ceremony complete with prizes and ice cream sundaes!

To kick off our Summer Reading Program, Jay Mankita will be here performing, “The Day the Library Went Wild- Big on Bugs” on Monday July 7 at 6:30pm.    Please join us to see what he plans to do to our little library!

On Friday July 11 at 6:30pm, Gaming Club meets once again!  Bring your handheld gaming system and join other enthusiasts as you share games and fun!  You can only bring 3 games and EVERYTHING must be marked with your name.

The Friends Annual Book Sale will be Saturday July 12 from 9am to 2pm.  Stop in and browse and get some great books for summer time reading!  Hardcovers are $1.00 each or 3 for $2.00 and paperbacks are 50 cents each or 3 for a $1.00.

College is over and you have all these textbooks leftover that the school won’t let you trade in?  Donate them to our library!  We are accepting textbooks that are newer than 2005 to sell in our online bookstore.  What a way to help out the library while cleaning your house!

Lots of new books are on our shelves!  Some are: Sail by James Patterson, Not in the Flesh by Ruth Rendell, Married Lovers by Jackie Collins, Broken Window by Jeffrey Deaver, Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein, Swine Not? by Jimmy Buffett, Love the One You’re With by Emily Giffin, Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich, Undiscovered by Debra Winger, No Choice by Seduction by Johanne Lindsey, and This Charming Man by Marian Keyes.

The weather is warmer, grab a few good books and head outside to read.  We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
