Has spring begun to show some signs of arriving? At the library last week spring did arrive! We had an arts and crafts night and the kids made spring wind catchers, butterflies, paper flowers and planted marigold seeds to take home! It was definitely what everyone there needed; a time to forget about all this snow!

A winner was picked last week for our Valentine in the forest raffle. Jayne Mone was the lucky winner. She won two tickets for horse drawn carriage rides, all you can eat buffet and live music at Highland Forest. Congratulations Jayne!!

Kiddies Korner has a special birthday party coming up on March 2. Can you guess what popular children's author is having a birthday? Bring your child or grandchild in to find out who is having a birthday and have a piece of cake. On March 9 spring will come again to the library as the children learn about lions and lambs and spring. Kiddies Korner meets every Tuesday from 10:30am-11:30am. If you would like a schedule of upcoming topics inquire at the circulation desk.

March 11 is Family Bingo Night again at the library. Be sure to come in and play a few games. All kids will win prizes. Bingo night is the second Thursday of every month from 6:30-8pm.

Jackie Groves is back with more hand stamping! March 24 at 6:30pm stop in and learn how fun hand stamping is, or come back if you have been here before. It's open to kids and adults. More details will follow next week.

Our next adult book talk will be The #1 Ladies Detective Agency with Morrisville State College professor, Roxanna Pisiak, facilitating. It will be on Friday, March 26 at 7pm in the library's program room. We have copies of the book at the library now so stop in and ask for your copy today.

On Wednesday March 31 at 6:30pm, Tom Lemery will be back with his participation story time. The children from his last program are coming back to show all an encore presentation of their "parent machine" they created. Curious as to what a "parent machine" is? You need to be here then to find out!

Our new videos are in so be sure to come in and check out all the new selections today! We have received lots of new books too. Here are just a few: Kate's Choice by Louisa May Alcott in large print fiction, Falling From Fire by Teena Booth and Julie Baker's Up Molasses Mountain for the young adult readers.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12-8pm and Tuesday and Saturday 10-2pm.
