We have some important news to share with you! Our new circulation system is up and running and we are very excited to have it! We should be getting our new movies any day now so be sure to check out those plus all the other materials that are coming in these days.

The Valentine's Day Hand Stamping with Jackie Groves had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather and will now be on Wednesday February 11 at 6:30pm in the library's program room. If your children need something to make or give for Valentine's Day, Jackie has the perfect things for you! I was told that they will be making candy, gifts and cards. This is open to all ages from school age through adult.

I would also recommend that during the winter months to please call ahead to see if our scheduled programs are still on. We would hate to have people come out in bad weather for nothing.

Kiddies Korner topics for the next two weeks are: February 10-Valentine's Day and February 17- NO STORY HOUR. Our story teller, Janine Ashcraft, is taking a well deserved break. She will be back on February 24 with a wonderful program on friendship! Kiddies Korner is every Tuesday from 10:30-11:30am. Bring your preschool child or grandchild in today!

Don't forget Family Bingo Night! It's Thursday February 12 at 6:30pm. Be sure to come in for a night of fun, games and prizes! All kids will win a prize.

Are your children bored with their Christmas presents already? Are they sick of being stuck inside? Bring them out on Wednesday February 18 for Arts and Crafts Night at the Library! They can make several different kinds of crafts to take home. It begins at 6:30pm. What a way to end those winter blues!

We have one more week of Todd Slabaugh's Rare Brazilian Insect Display. Be sure to stop in and see them before they are gone! There are over 175 various different insects from butterflies, to moths, to beetles, caterpillars and lots more. Some of them are absolutely beautiful! This display will end on February 14 so come in today!

Be sure to stop in to the library soon and pick up your raffle ticket(s) for a romantic evening at "Valentine's in the Forest". Tickets are $4 each and will be sold until February 16 when one lucky winner will be chosen. Details are as follows: 2 free passes for an all you can eat buffet dinner, music by Michael Sims, and horse drawn sleigh rides all at Skyline Lodge in Highland Forest. This all happens on February 20 from 7pm -11pm. What a delightful Valentine gift for that special someone!

Important reminder: We will be closed on Monday February 16 to observe President's Day.

Several new items have been donated or purchased for the library; too many to mention here so be sure and stop in and check out the new videos, books, books on tape, magazines and more.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12-8pm and Tuesday and Saturday 10-2pm.
