Library hours will remain the same at this time. The evening hours seem to be popular with those using the Internet and WiFi connection.
The new high-speed Internet connection is very popular with our patrons. Bam! You're connected! And remember, the Wireless connection is available 24/7 and accessible from the parking lot with your laptop, as well as inside the library. We currently have four desktop computers and one laptop for use by our customers in the building.
We will soon have information regarding employment with the Census Department. The pay will be more than $12.00 an hour following a three-hour training workshop. Flyers will be available at the library, or call for information.
Looking for tax forms? We have the commonly used ones at the library and will make copies of others for a small fee.
If we don't have the items you're looking for, we will be happy to request them for you from a member library...or you can make the request yourself at www.midyork.org. All you need is a library card! We have deliveries from the other libraries in the Mid-York System on Mondays and Wednesdays.
New Books this month: Time for Kids Super Science; The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins; Sizzle by Julie Garwood; The Sound of Sleigh Bells by Cindy Woodsmall; Guide to the National Parks of the United States; Going Rogue, by Sarah Palin; and three "Dead" books by Charlaine Harris! We also have a number of new paperback romances by popular authors. Our shelves are regularly supplimented with materials from the Mid-York collection and the New Hartford Library.
We
are in the process of adding the titles of all the library's
materials to the Mid-York Catalog. Once that is completed, we will be
checking in and discharging your books and videos through
the computer system. You will then be able to check on-line to find out
if your requests are in and see when your books and videos are due
to be returned. The IT department at Mid-York is also planning to offer
email notices directly to you regarding your library materials, if you
want it and have an email address!
