MetaSites

Internet Public Library Ready Reference Page
    http://www.ipl.org/ref/RR/
In addition to their regular reference center, the Internet Public Library provides a well organized
page for use when answering ready reference type questions.  Their ready reference page is
divided by subject category with a separate category for "reference" which included the standard
general ready reference type works. (i.e. almanacs, encyclopedias, atlases, dictionaries, etc.)

Librarian's Index to the Internet Reference Page
    http://lii.org/search/file/reference
This short but sweet list of links to ready reference resources is organized by type of resource.

    xrefer.com
    http://www.xrefer.com/search.jsp
xrefer.com provides access to a collection of ready resources via a search engine which searches
each of the ready reference resources included. A title list is available.

    Digital Librarian's Ready Reference Page
    http://www.digital-librarian.com/reference.html
This subject directory provides a nice collection of resources organized alphabetically by
    resource.

Lakewood Public Library's Ready Reference Sites
    http://www.lkwdpl.org/readref.htm
A unique feature of this list is that the ready reference sites are organized by Dewey
    Decimal class.

    Measure 4 Measure
    http://www.wolinskyweb.net/measure.htm
Measure 4 measure provides a remarkable array of reference resources for calculating,
estimating, evaluating and translating. They are divided by subject.

    RefDesk.com
    http://www.refdesk.com/
RefDesk.com provides a wealth of material for answering reference questions.
The opening page is very dense and cluttered but provides one-stop shopping for
some of the best ready reference resources.

    Yahoo Reference
    http://dir.yahoo.com/Reference/
Yahoo Reference is organized by a combination of subject headings and type
    of ready reference material.
