Books 'N' Bytes Mystery and Science Fiction Authors: A great website for information on mystery and science fiction authors. Breaks down by genre, author, and then series by author. A great resource for keeping up-to-date on favorite authors, and finding new ones.

Literacy Volunteers of America @ Midyork: LVA provide free one on one tutoring to adults in Basic Literacy and English for Speakers of other languages. All tutors are volunteers meet on average twice a week for one hour at each session with their student. Hours vary depending on the availability of tutors, although ease of access for students is of prime importance. Local libraries schools, churches, etc. are used for meeting places. Tutors do not go into the home. For more information call (315) 733-4529.

In addition to improving literacy skills, the Zone helps people find a way out of poverty, enables at risk school youth to complete high school and transition to college, improve employment opportunities for individuals in poverty or who are transitioning from incarceration, support for veterans transition to the workforce, find pathways to citizenship and English language proficiency, support individuals with disabilities and their families, enable senior citizens to stay out of poverty, and discover workforce development programs, including apprenticeship and career pathways.
