New York State Library, Albany, NY. They have a great collection of upstate records, including DAR cemetery lists and the entire available New York State Census on microfilm. New York State Historical Association Research Library, Cooperstown, NY. They have excellent resources for New York State History and some genealogical resources, especially good for Otsego county. They have the entire available New York State census on microfilm. Their catalog is not online at this time, but here is their homepage. http://www.nysha.org/research.htm

DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Library, Washington, DC. You will need to visit in person or hire a researcher to use their resources. http://dar.library.net

Library of Congress, Washington, DC http://www.loc.gov Check their online catalog for family genealogies and the American Memory Project for old photographs and maps.

Allen County Public Library, Fort Wayne, Indiana This is the library that produces PERSI (Periodical Source Index), the largest subject index for genealogical and historical periodicals. You can order copies of the magazine articles that are indexed in PERSI for a fee. http://www.acpl.lib.in.us
