Geographic Service Area:

The Dunham Public Library's immediate service area covers the territory encompassed by the towns of Deerfield, Marcy, Schuyler, Whitesboro and Yorkville, currently serving a population of 24,503.

The library is also a member of the Mid-York Library System. The Mid-York system is a cooperative library system with 43 member libraries and reading stations sharing their resources throughout a three (3) county area: Oneida, Herkimer and Madison. The Dunham Public Library is the third largest library (population-wise) in the system.

Building Size:

The library building contains 12,000 square feet of space, is totally handicap accessible and ADA compliant

Staff:

The library consists of a staff of seventeen (17) people, thirteen (13) full-time and six (6) part-time. There are four (4) professional librarians (college degree plus Masters in Library Science): Library Director, Reference Librarian, Children's Librarian and General Services Librarian. In addition, there are six (6) full-time library clerks, part-time library aides, pages and maintenance staff. All personnel are civil service employees.

How to find us: From the east - Take route 5S to Utica. Follow Route 5A to Whitesboro Street and turn right. Follow to library, which is one block past Dimbleby's Funeral Home on the right side of the street.

From the west - Take Route 49 to Mohawk Street and turn right. Follow to Main Street. Turn left on Main. Library is 1/2 block down on the left hand side of the street.
