Public Computers
The Waterville Public Library has 11 public access computers with Internet access. Printing is free for the first 2 pages and are 20 cents a page after. Please read the Computer Use Policy and Internet Access Policy

Users are urged to utilize virus protection to protect information on their laptop since data transferred on the network is not encrypted. Laser printing is available through wireless access at 20 cents per page.

Wi-Fi is also avaliable outside the library in our gardens and from the parking lot.

In House Library Laptop

A laptop is available for check-out to use only IN THE LIBRARY

  1. The laptop is for adults only.
  2. You must sign out the laptop at the front desk.
  3. There is a 1 hour time limit and there is a 30 min. time limit if another person is waiting.
  4. You can use the laptop anywhere in the MAIN LIBRARY. It cannot be taken out of the main library.
  5. Viewing inappropriate materials will result in suspension of computer privileges.
  6. The laptop does not print.
  7. You must either mute the sound on the laptop or get headphones from the front desk.

Late Fees

Late fees are as follows:
Books, magazines, CDs and audiocassettes: 10¢ per day
Videos/DVDs: $1.00 per day up to a maximum of $5.00 per item

Books may be renewed for 14 days at the Library, by phone
or online through your account on the MidYork Website.
An outdoor book drop is available at the Library's front entrance.

Get Your Library Card_______________________________________

A library card obtained at the Waterville Public Library may be used at any MidYork Library System member library in Oneida, Herkimer, or Madison Counties. Library cards may be applied for in person at the circulation deskduring regular hours.

 

Children are eligible for a library card when they are 5 years old. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (who has appropriate identification as mentioned above) and sign the application to show that he or she accepts responsibility for all library materials loaned to the minor.

Adults will need a current form of photo identification and proof of Waterville Central School District residency in order to receive a library card. It will take us only a few minutes to process your new card.

Bee-ginner Cards
For children 2-4 years old who wish to have their very own "learner's"card.  Parent must have a valid library card, on which the child's materials will be charged.
