Here at the Sherrill-Kenwood Free Library we offer many programs for children of all ages.  Family Story Hour meets on a weekly basis.  Each Tuesday little ones enjoy stories, songs, crafts and are introduced to all the wonderful things that can be found here at the library.

Once a month from November-April children in Kindergarten-Second grades enjoy Story Hour with library staff member Jes Stadtmiller, while kids in Third-Sixth grades have fun at monthly Writer’s Workshop programs.

Every summer, the Sherrill-Kenwood Free Library participates in New York State’s Summer Reading Program.  This program is available to any child from birth-18 years old in some form.  Children are encouraged to read over the summer and earn prizes!  We also offer weekly in-library programs for elementary school age children, and have several special evening programs for the entire family to enjoy!
