Developed by Fordham University and Paul Hallsall, this website is a treasure trove of primary resource material which are copy-permittable or in the the public domain. There are three Primary Sourcebooks: Ancient, Medieval and Modern. Several subsidiary sourcebooks include: African, Indian, East Asian, Women's, and History of Science among others. The website also provides help links to guidance on how to use the pages for homework and research and describes the day to day culture of the different historical periods.

Historic Stock Prices

Many people are working on their taxes this month and need to know daily historic stock prices for a number of reasons. The following site at Fairmark Press highlights two Internet resources (Yahoo! Finance and Bigcharts.com) for locating daily historic stock prices and gives explicit directions on how to navigate through those resources. Note: The two sites highlighted only cover stock prices for the 1980s and 1990s. Traditional methods must often still be used for locating stock prices prior to 1980, though some individual companies have their historic stock data on their own webpages.
