R. L. Stine

R. L. Stine has been called the children's Stephen King so perhaps it is only fair that he came third in the voting right after the master of terror. Remember R. L. Stine writes for two separate age groups. His Fear Street series is for teenagers while third -fifth graders read Goosebumps.

Here are some sample voter comments:

"He actually scares me, something no other author does."

"He is right in the middle between scary and non scary so I like them."

"His books interest me because it was like life. I mean these things happen everyday and when some else died I had to figure out who it was."

Goosebumps  A series of scary books where no one dies written with a touch of humor for 7 to 11 year olds
Fear Street A series of horror novels for junior and senior high school students.
