History of the Vietnam War, 1945-1975
Saturday at 10 a.m.
In this free six-session adult-enrichment seminar, Prof. J. Thomas Hogle of Morrisville State College offers an in-depth look at the events that brought the U.S. into the most controversial war in its history and the conflict’s strategies, battles and politics. The following sessions continue on consecutive Saturdays at the same time June 28 through July 26. Due to limited space, pre-registration is required.

The Oneida Public Library will be closed both Friday and Saturday, July 4 and 5, to celebrate American Independence. The library will open as usual on Monday, July 7, at 9 a.m.

History of the Vietnam War, 1945-1975
Saturday at 10 a.m.
In this free six-session adult-enrichment seminar, Prof. J. Thomas Hogle of Morrisville State College offers an in-depth look at the events that brought the U.S. into the most controversial war in its history and the conflict’s strategies, battles and politics. This session covers the Tonkin Gulf Incident through to Operation Rolling Thunder.

Porch Talk: Four Summer Readings
Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m.
A moveable book club on four charming porches will discuss Jane Austen’s “Persuasion” (July 9), Henry James’ “Portrait of a Lady” (July 23), Ernest Hemingway’s “The Sun Also Rises” (August 6) and Toni Morrison’s “Beloved” (August 20). Led by the library’s Assistant Director Tom Murray. Sign up is required.
