Gayle and Roger Cleveland will exhibit at
the New Hartford Public Library from August 1st – 30th. There will be a “Meet
the Artists” reception on Saturday, August 2nd from 1:00 – 3:00 at the library.
Gayle began her studies in watercolor
painting in 2002 under the direction of Mary Berger at the New Hartford Adult
Education Program. She continues to study with Mary Berger and has also studied
with Lorena Raker, Ena D’Apice, Jo Ambrose and W. Ralph Murray.
Gayle’s work has been accepted at the MWPAI
Sidewalk Show in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Her work has been exhibited at the New
Hartford Public Library in 2004, 2005, the Kirkland Art Center in 2005, 2006,
SUNYIT in 2005, the Old Forge Art Center in 2005, 2006, and Utica College in
2008. She has done commissioned work and teaches Watercolor and Acrylics at the
New Hartford Senior Center. The class has exhibited at Utica College and the New
Hartford Public Library.
Gayle is an Associate member of the Central
New York Watercolor Society.
Roger has always enjoyed doing photography
as a hobby and has produced note cards available at the MWPAI and various local
Gift Shops. He has studied photography at MWPAI and has exhibited as a one man
show at MWPAI and the New Hartford Public Library. His work has been accepted at
the MWPAI Sidewalk Shows and other juried shows. He has also been commissioned
to do weddings, private parties, individual portraits and does framing and
matting for friends and family.
Robin Cecilia will exhibit her functional
pottery in the display case as you enter the library during the month of August.
