Cazenovia
School District student art will be on display December and January. The exhibit showcases the
district’s outstanding art education program.

On
December 16, at 6:30 pm, the library is hosting its first evening family
event. Children are encouraged to
come dressed in pajamas, and listen to a special reading of the award winning
book The Polar Express, written by
Chris Van Allsburg. Following the story, there will
be a visit from Santa Claus, a special gift, activities and refreshments. For the grown-ups there will be a cookie
exchange. All you need to do is
bring a dozen of your favorite cookies, along with the recipe, to the library
that evening. Pre-registration is
required by phone at 662-3134 or in person.
Youth
Services Coordinator Kelly Roberts said the library is adding special
children’s events like the “Polar Express” in response to
increased attendance at story hour and other youth programs. “The toy drive and
children’s art show are annual library events, and there is a
children’s story hour every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon,” Roberts
said. “Children will always
find a place to study at the library, and thousands of books and other
materials to borrow,” Roberts added.
