USE OF MEETING ROOM
The use of the Morrisville
Public Library for meetings is granted to not-for-profit community groups and
organizations whose aims are cultural, educational and/or for civic betterment.
Permission granted by the
Library for a group to meet in the Library does not in any way constitute and
endorsement of the group’s policies or beliefs by the library staff or
trustees.
All meetings must be
scheduled in advance with the Library.
Library programs have preference over meetings by external
organizations. Preference will be given
to meetings open to the general public.
Meetings should be scheduled in advance.
When the meeting is scheduled the Manager will mark it on the Library
calendar.
No group or person may
charge an attendance or admission fee for meetings or workshops held in the
meeting room or make request for voluntary donations. Charges to cover the cost of materials may be
levied if the person or group has the express written permission of the Library
Manager in advance.
Light refreshments may be
served if organizations or persons assume responsibility of cleaning up and
removal of all garbage after the meeting.
The cost of any necessary cleaning or repairs occurring as a result of a
meeting will be billed to the person making the arrangements.
The library is not
responsible for any equipment, supplies, materials, clothing, or other items
brought to the Library or transported to the Library property by any group or
individual attending the meeting.
The Library trustees and
staff do not assume any liability on groups or individuals attending a meeting
in the Library.
The scheduled group is
responsible for setting up chairs, tables, furniture, and/or library or
non-library equipments prior to the meeting and returning all library property
to the designated location upon termination of the meeting and before
leaving. The area or room must be left
in a clean and orderly condition. Future
use of the Library can be denied if this is not observed. The group or person using the Library must
make sure that all doors and windows in the Library are locked upon leaving.
The group using the
Library will be held responsible for any and all loses incurred by the Library
as a result of the meeting.
