We are having an Easter basket raffle.  Tickets may be purchased from board members or at the circulation desk.  Tickets are $1 apiece.  There will be one adult basket filled with flowers that can serve as a centerpiece for your Easter dinner (and then planted outside after), and one children’s Easter basket filled with Easter goodies!  Both Easter baskets are on display at the circulation desk.  The drawing will be held this Friday April 14.

We are holding a Mobil gas card raffle!  Tickets can be purchased from any library board member or staff as well as at the circulation desk.  Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.  First prize is a $100 gas card at Mobil and second prize is a $50 Mobil gas card.  The drawing will be held on May 1st. With the gas prices rising, won’t it be wonderful to win our raffle?

Proceeds from both raffles will go to help fund our Madison County Bicentennial celebration.  Details on that will follow soon.

Kiddies Korner will be back on Tuesday April 25 learning about frogs.   Bring your toddler or preschooler in for stories, activities and more!  All the fun begins at 10:30am.   If you can’t make it that day, join them for Mother’s Day and growing on May 9.

Join us for Family Bingo night this Friday April 14 at 6:30pm in the library’s program room.  All kids are guaranteed a prize and adults play for fun.  Be sure to join us this month as we will be taking a break from bingo for a few months.  Refreshments will be provided.

The Board of Trustees are meeting on Tuesday April 18 at 6:30pm in the program room.  The public is welcome to attend.

Todd Slabaugh has been gracious enough to share his rare Brazilian insect collection with us.  This beautiful exhibit is on display now in the program room.  Mr. Slabaugh will be in to discuss his findings and answer any questions about the insects on Monday April 24 at 7pm.  Stop in and view the display and ask away!

Bring the family in for a night of food and fiction on Wednesday April 26 at 6:30pm. Come and find out what food and fiction have in common as we fulfill our hunger with books.  You will sure want to attend this "delicious" activity!

Did you know that this year is Madison County’s 200th birthday!  At the library during the months of May and June we will be having a celebration to commemorate this event.  There will be 8 bicentennial talks about various topics pertaining to the 1800’s every Monday of both months.  There will be “learn how to” nights about various activities of yore.  The Priceteeni Flea Circus will arrive and perform.  The family can make dream catchers with an Oneida Nation elder.  There will be “games of long ago” nights.  To end our celebration we will have a party complete with food and square dancing.  So much fun lies ahead in the coming months!  Details will follow next week.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
