Are you enjoying the slightly warmer weather? At least the sun is out more than usual. It makes one want to grab a good book and find a cozy chair in the sun and READ all day long! Stop in to the library today and get your good book for the nice days ahead!

Kiddies Korner had a special birthday party for Dr. Seuss this week! Dr. Seuss was born in 1904 and would have been 100 years old this year! The children had birthday cake and read some of his classic books in honor of him. Kiddies Korner topics for the next two weeks are: March 9- Lions/Lambs and Spring and will learn about the saying "in like a lion out like a lamb" and March 16- St. Patrick's Day. Kiddies Korner meets every Tuesday from 10:30-11:30am. Bring your child or grandchild out for an enlightening time!

Family Bingo Night is back next Thursday March 11 at 6:30pm in the program room. Stop in and play a game or two. All kids win exciting prizes! Bingo night is the second Thursday of every month.

On March 24 at 6:30pm, Jackie Groves is back with another hand stamping session. This program is open to adults and children (accompanied by an adult.) We do ask this time though that you call and reserve a spot due to the increase numbers at her last one. We want to make sure that there are enough materials for all who attend. Please call during library hours and make your reservation today!

Be sure to pick up your copy of No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith for our next book talk on Friday March 26 at 7pm. Morrisville State College professor, Roxanna Pisiak, will be hosting it again. Copies can be obtained at the circulation desk.

The library is looking for someone to donate a 20+ gallon fish tank for the children's room. If you have one please contact Brian at the library at 684-9130.

Some new books at the library are: for the sci-fi readers: Arthur C Clarke's The Sentinel and Kevin D Randle's Starship: The Exploration Chronicles Book Two. In fiction we have Body Guard by Suzanne Brockmann. In nonfiction we have Playing for Keeps: Michael Jordan and the World he Made by David Halberstam. Mysteries lovers we have Jonathan Kellerman's A Cold Heart. We have a new Magic School Bus chapter book entitled Food Chain Frenzy for young patrons. For the very young we have Bubble Trouble by Stephen Krensky and Dora in the Deep Sea by Christine Ricci.

Be sure to stop in and see these plus all the other new items we have. We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12-8pm and Tuesday and Saturday 10-2pm.
