I would like to thank all the patrons for their patience during the last couple of months during the “downtime” of our circulation system.  None of us at the library realized how much we rely on technology and how much it makes our life easier until we don’t have it anymore.

But to the patrons, who waited the few extra minutes while we wrote everything down, to understanding that the materials they ordered might be a little later coming in and bearing with us through the days of downtime—we thank you!!

I would like to thank the library staff for all their hard work during this process as well as playing catch up when the system came up.

Sue Greenhagen’s local history picture collection is now on display in the program room.  Revisit historic Morrisville, Eaton, West Eaton and more.  See Madison Hall, the Engine House, local schools and the Morrisville State back in the days.  “Welcome to the Town of Eaton” will be on display until the end of February.

Kiddies Korner will be back on Tuesday February 28. They will be reading about dinosaurs.   Bring your toddler or preschooler in for stories, activities and more!  All the fun begins at 10:30am.   If you can’t make it that day, join them for Monkeys on March 14.

Family Bingo Night is back on Friday March 10 at 6:30pm.  Bring the family in for a game or two!  All kids are guaranteed to win a prize and adults play for fun!

Our next adult book talk will be Friday March 31 at 7pm.  The book being discussed in March is the Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.  Copies can be obtained now at the circulation desk.  April’s book talk will be “bring your own book to share”.  Bring a book (or two) that you thought was fabulous to share with the rest.

It’s tax season.  Have your forms yet?  We did not receive forms this year.  We can and will be more than happy to assist you in getting the right form(s) and printing them from the Internet.  Copies are 10¢ a page.  Stop in during library hours for assistance.  If you would like to call the IRS and state and have the forms sent to you, the numbers are:  IRS- 1-800-829-3676 and the State- 1-800-462-8100.  If you have a computer at home and would like to print the forms yourself you can access our website, www.midyork.org/morrisvillle.  Click on “tax information” from our homepage.

Don’t forget we have extended our hours of operation!  We are open longer on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Stop in and check out our new shelves today!  We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm-8pm, Tuesday 10am-6pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.
