We are extending some of the hours we are open!! Starting
February 1 Tuesdays will be open from 10am to 6pm and Saturdays
we will be open 10-4pm. Be sure to utilize the new hours!
On Friday February 10 at 6:30pm, Family Bingo will be back at
the library. Kids are guaranteed a prize and adults play for
fun. Refreshments will be provided. Bring the family in for
a game or two.
Kiddies Korner will be back on Tuesday February 14. They will
be reading about Valentine's Day. Bring your toddler or preschooler
in for stories, activities and more! All the fun begins at 10:30am.
Can't make it that day? How about learning about Dinosaurs
on February 28?
February is Bird Feeders & Bird Feeding month! On Wednesday
February 15 at 6:30pm we will be having bird night at the library.
We're going to create some bird feeders to hang outside for
our feathered friends during the long winter months. We'll also
listen to some bird stories and eat some bird treats. Bring
the entire family in for some fun!
Our next Adult book talk will be on Wednesday February 22 at
12:30pm. Bring some lunch and partake in an enlightening discussion.
The book being discussed is Ernest Hemmingway's Old Man and
the Sea. Copies can be picked up at the circulation desk now.
We are currently looking for a part time library aide. All interested
applicants must have strong computer skills, the ability to lift
50lbs and fluent knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Word and
email. Applicants should also possess good customer service
skills as well. The hours will be Monday through Friday in
the afternoons for a total of 20 hours per week. Serious applicants
should stop in during library hours to pick up an application.
We will accept applications until February 6, 2006.
We will be closed on Monday February 20 to observed President's
Day. We will reopen on Tuesday at 10am.
Be sure to stop in and view Karen Jacobs Black History exhibit
on display now in the front foyer. It will be shown until the
end of February.
Stop in and check out our new shelves today! We are open Monday,
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm-8pm and Tuesday and Saturday
10am-2pm.
