Our Annual Apple Fest was a success!! The weather was beautiful and everyone had a good time!  The winners of the Chili Cook off were:  1st place: Carla Kutzuba; 2nd place: Chris Marris and 3rd place: Richard Wing.  There was a three way tie in the apple trivia.  Jennifer Forward, Rachel Morris and Toby Forward won.

Thank you to the following people and businesses for making this event successful.  Earley’s Farm and Hardware in Madison, Mosher Farms in Bouckville, Buyea’s True Value in Cazenovia, Faith Baptist Church in Morrisville, the Ellis Family, the Forward Family, Shirley Ellis, Carla Kutzuba, Ethel Crane, Nancy McPherson, Phyllis Mattingly, Michelle St. Hilaire, the Girl Scouts- Rachel Morris and Leigha Morris, and Chelsea Wing. 

Our Fourth Annual Pumpkin Coloring Contest is still on!!  Children from toddler age up to and including 6th grade may participate.  Stop in anytime during the time frame mentioned above to pick up your entry form.  All entries must be returned to the library NO LATER than this Saturday October 21 at 4pm.  Winners will be announced at our Halloween party at the end of October.

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour has begun!!  Bring your toddler or preschool child in on Tuesday October 24 at 10:30am for “Don’t be Scared!-It’s Halloween”.  If you can’t make it that day, join them for “Let’s Be Silly on Tuesday November 7. PLEASE NOTE: Story Hour is every other Tuesday. Please pick up a schedule at the circulation desk.

Join us Friday October 27 at 6:30pm for our Halloween Party.  Wear your costume and come and join us!  Listen to a story, play some games, and eat Halloween refreshments.  The winners of our coloring contest will be announced as well.

The November Book Talk book is at the circulation desk now.  Stop in and get Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five.  The book talk will be Friday November 10 at 7pm.

On Monday November 6 at 6:30pm head back with us as we go once again to the 1800's.  End the year of Madison County's bicentennial watching the PBS movie, Frontier House and seeing modern day people try to make it in the 1800's on the Frontier.  This is a four part series-  Part One November 6, Part Two November 13, Part Three November 20 and Part Four November 27.

We are bringing Bingo back to the library on Friday November 9 at 6:30pm.  Bring the family in for a game or two.  If you are interested in donating prizes or refreshments for the evening please contact me at the library at 684-9130.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
