Our Fourth Annual Pumpkin Coloring Contest has begun!!  Children from toddler age up to and including 6th grade may participate.  Stop in anytime during the time frame mentioned above to pick up your entry form.  All entries must be returned to the library NO LATER than Saturday October 21 at 4pm.  Winners will be announced at our Halloween party at the end of October.

The rules are the same as last year: 1) be as creative as possible, 2) tie it into reading or libraries if possible and 3) use any kind of art supplies (there are lots of other materials besides crayons and markers.)

This Saturday October 7 join us for our second annual apple fest.  Join us for apple-related games, apple trivia, face painting, apple crafts and lots more!!  Be sure to enter our Chili Cook-off!  Bring your best Chili recipe to the library no later than 2pm that day.  Judging begins promptly at 2:30pm.  (Participants need not be from the Morrisville area.  Anyone can enter!)  All the fun begins at 11am!

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour will begin soon!!  Bring your toddler or preschool child in on Tuesday October 10 at 10:30am for Paws, Claws, Scales and Tails.  If you can’t make it that day, join them for, “Don’t be Scared!-It’s Halloween” on Tuesday October 24. PLEASE NOTE: Story Hour will be every other Tuesday starting October 10. Please pick up a schedule at the circulation desk.

Join us on Friday October 13 for Gameboy Night at 6:30 pm.  Bring your gameboy and THREE games to share and play with others.  Swap games for the evening and try out some new ones.  (PLEASE NOTE:  Everything must be marked with your name.)  Refreshments will be provided. 

Mother Goose is coming to HAMILTON LIBRARY on Saturday October 14 at 10:30am!! Hamilton, Earlville and Morrisville Libraries are coordinating this event.  Bring the family to Hamilton for this "Snuggle Up and Read" event.  There will be a story hour for ages 1-6 with Mother Goose and for the older kids-games and such.  Refreshments will be provided.  Be sure to join us that day in Hamilton!!!

The Rug Hooker’s group will be meeting again on Monday October 16 at 6:30pm at the library.  If you are an avid rug hooker please bring your project in and work with others.  If you are interested in learning, they are willing to show you!

Join us on Wednesday October 18 at 6:30pm for Spooky Craft night.  Make some things to hang around your bedroom or house for the Halloween holiday.

The Friends of the Library will be meeting on Friday October 13 at 6:30pm.  All new and old friend members are encouraged to attend.  They will be discussing the library’s Christmas tree theme and their annual open house (and more!)

The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday October 17 ay 6:30pm in the program room.  The public is welcome to attend.

Important reminder:  We will be closed on Monday October 9 to observe Columbus Day.  We will reopen Tuesday October 10 at 10am.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
