Summer Reading has begun!  The theme this year is “Get A Clue @ your Library”.  Stop in during library hours this week to pick up your summer reading bag and get signed up!

If you read at least fifteen minutes each week, you're eligible for a weekly prize. Bring your reading record in and you'll receive the prize for that week. Sorry only one prize per child per week.

If you complete at least eight hours or more before summer reading ends on Friday August 10, you will be invited to our Summer Reading Graduation on Wednesday August 15 at 6:30pm.  There you will receive prizes, a book, a t-shirt and more and enjoy an ice cream sundae with other fellow graduates!

The Friends of the Library will be having their Annual Book Sale this Saturday July 14 from 8am to 2pm.  Stop in and view the wide selection of books for your summer reading!  Hardcover books are $1.00 each or 3 for $2.00.  Paperbacks are 50 cents each or 3 for a $1.00.  Children’s books are 4 for $1.00.

Pictionary Night is back this Friday July 13 at 6:30pm.  Bring the family in and see who can draw better!  Refreshments will be provided.

Moreland the Magician is returning to the library on Monday July 16 at 6:30pm.  Where is the missing library card?  Who took it and why?  These are the mysteries David Moreland, the magician, will try to unravel in his new show.  Bring the entire family in and help figure out the mystery!

The new Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be out soon!  Be sure to join us for a Harry Potter Party on Friday July 20 at 6:30pm.  Games, crafts, Harry Potter food and more!  We will be giving away (individually) books 1-6 of the series.  So if you are missing one, be sure to attend to put your name in the drawing!  We will also be giving away a Barnes and Noble gift certificate to one lucky winner who will be able to buy their own new copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. 

On Monday July 23 at 6:30pm, join Sue Greenhagen, Local Historian as she helps us “Discover History”.  This event is open to all ages, young and old.

Airplay, a father son comedy juggling act, will be here to perform on Wednesday July 25 at 6:30pm. Guaranteed to mesmerize your audience, this fast paced, entertaining and dynamic show has everything from juggling and acrobatics to unicycling and comedy.
