Our Summer Reading Program, “Be Creative @ your Library”, has begun!!! It runs until Saturday August 15. The summer reading program is open to all kids ages 1-17. Be sure to stop in anytime and sign your child up for the program. Just have your child read at least10 hours during the program. If completing this requirement, your child will be invited to attend our graduation ceremony complete with prizes and ice cream sundaes! Family Movie Night is Friday July 10 at 6:00pm. We will be watching the movie, Inkheart, a fantasy movie based on the novel. Bring something comfy to sit in and a bag of popcorn to share! On Monday July 13 at 6:30pm, Joann Bartlett will be here to share about Phrenology. Come have the bumps and fissures on your head read and see what they say about your personality! Bring the entire family in and learn about this cool hobby that was very popular back in the early 1900’s. On Friday July 17 at 6:30pm we are calling all artists young and old to help us draw all over the program room! Supplies will be provided; come help us to create a masterpiece! Join us for Musical Stories on Wednesday July 22 at 6:30pm. There will be delightful, music filled tales to listen to as well as crafts and games! Tired of the old bingo? Join us on Friday July 24 at 6:30pm as we play several unique versions of this popular game and every child wins a prize!!! The Friends Annual Book Sale will be on Saturday July 25 from 8am to 2pm. Stop in and get some great books at great prices to read over the summer! The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday July 21 at 6:30pm in the program room. The public is welcome to attend. Lots of new books on our shelves; stop in and check some out today! We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm. |
