The weather is getting warmer and reading is a good way to relax in the heat.  Be sure to stop in to the library and get some books to beat the heat!  We have the NY Times Bestsellers and lots more! 

We are working in renovating and restoring the library building.  Did you know it has been a library for 104 years?  When the doors first opened in 1903 there were only 760 volumes on the shelves.  Today we have over 15,000 items available for checking out!  The library is bursting at its seams!  We need to expand and move upstairs.  If you would like to help, we are taking monetary donations at this time.  If you have a specialized skill and would like to volunteer your time in helping the project, please let me know.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Calling all TEENS!  Join us this Friday June 22 at 6:30pm as we watch the movie, The Great Gatsby.   Books are available through the library system if you would like to compare the book to the movie either before or after the viewing.  This program is the second in a series of many of the theme, The Pursuit of Happiness. We were awarded the “We the People Bookshelf” grant and have received several books on this topic. All 19 books will be located in the Children’s Room on the bookshelf by the big windows.  Stop in and browse the selection and check out a few! 

Join us on Monday June 25 at 6:30pm for our End of School Bash!  Join us as we celebrate summer vacation!  Play some games, do some cool summery crafts, and eat some summer treats.

On Wednesday June 27 at 7pm we will be having a Libri Foundation reception.  We have once again received this grant for children's books!  Join us for the first viewing of the new books received!  Be able to check out the new books and have some goodies too!  This is open to adults and children.  Hope to see you all there to look at our new collection! 

Summer Reading will start soon!  The theme this year is “Get A Clue @ your Library”.  Join us in July and August for lots of fun!  Summer Reading officially starts July 9.  Details to follow soon!

Be sure to browse our new shelves today!  We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
