Join us this Friday June 20 at 6pm (please note change in time), for our family movie night.  The movie being shown is the first National Treasure.  Join us the following Friday June 27 at 6pm for National Treasure part 2.  As always, popcorn is provided.  Just bring something comfy to sit in.

Former Library employee, Bette Slocum, will be back on Monday July 23 at 6:30pm, to share her love of crocheting.  She will have samples on display and will teach anyone who is willing to learn how to do it.  All participants must bring a skein of yarn and a medium crochet hook.

On Wednesday June 25 at 6:30pm, Tom Lemery will be here to share his love of theater.  He will show you some different forms create a small skit with you and lots more.  Be sure to join him for a great time!

School is almost over!  When it is, please join us on Monday June 30 for our end of school bash!  Join us as we celebrate summer vacation!  There will be all sorts of games as well as refreshments!

Join us on Tuesday July 1 at 1pm for a puppet show on Autism.  Children will learn about this condition through the use of puppets and be able to ask questions too.  It’s a great way for children to learn about this and not feel alarmed.  I encourage parents to bring their children in

Before you know it, our Summer Reading Program will begin!  The theme this year is “Catch the Reading Bug!”  Our program begins on Monday July 7 and runs until Friday August 15.  The summer reading program is open to all kids ages 1-17.  Spend the summer with us learning about bugs, eat some bugs, make buggy crafts, go on a bug scavenger hunt and lots more!

Be sure to stop in anytime the week of July 7 and sign your child up for the program.  Then through the course of the next six weeks your child needs to read at least 8 hours.  If completing this requirement, your child will be invited to attend our graduation ceremony complete with prizes and ice cream sundaes!

Join me next week as I unveil the awesome programs we will have as part of our summer reading program.  If you can’t wait till next week, details of our summer reading can be found on our website: www.midyork.org/morrisville.

We are starting a graphic novel collection.  If you have any rated G or PG graphic novels you would like to donate to this collection please see me.

College is over and you have all these textbooks leftover that the school won’t let you trade in?  Donate them to our library!  We are accepting textbooks that are newer than 2005 to sell in our online bookstore.  What a way to help out the library while cleaning your house!

The weather is warmer, grab a few good books and head outside to read.  We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
