Family Bingo is back this Friday May 30 at 6:30pm.  Bring the family in for some bingo complete with refreshments and prizes for the kids!  Stop in and play a game or two!  All kids are guaranteed a prize!

We are pleased to announce that now that Kiddies Korner is over the Library Needlers will return to the library!  If you are a needler of some sort, please join them every Tuesday from 10am to 11:30am beginning June 3.  Bring your project and work with fellow needlers.

On Friday June 6 at 6:30pm, gaming night returns to the library.  Come in and share games and have fun with other gaming enthusiasts.  You can only bring 3 games with your handheld and EVERYTHING must be marked with your name.

On Monday June 9 at 6:30pm, we are pleased to have Mobile Moose at the library.  They are a newly formed acoustic band featuring our own library programmer, Joe Sabin.  Be sure to stop in and hear their music!

Please join us on Wednesday June 11 at 6:30pm for painting night.  Hear some stories, games and of course painting too!  Paints, brushes, and paper will be provided.

We are now circulating children’s educational games.  Please stop in and check them out!  They are in the children’s room with our other multi-kits.

We are starting a graphic novel collection.  If you have any rated G or PG graphic novels you would like to donate to this collection please see me.

June is the Friends of the Library’s annual membership drive.  If you are interested in being a Friend, please stop in and talk to me today!  Friends help us out with fundraising, baking cookies, and purchasing things for the library that we can’t.  They do a lot more than what I can write in this column and I truly appreciate all they do for the library.  Please consider being a Friend today!

Lots of new books are on our shelves!  Here are just a few: Steel Wave by Jeff Shaara, Bright Shiny Morning by James Frey, Front by Patricia Cornwell, Odd Hours by Dean Koontz, Comfort Food by Kate Jacobs, Forbidden by Beverly Lewis, Twenty Wishes by Debbie Macomber, Scream for Me by Karen Ross, and Outlander by Gil Adamson.

With the weather getting warmer, grab a few good books and head outside to read.  We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
