I forgot last week to announce the winners of our 2nd annual Easter Basket raffle.  Congratulations go out to Ruth Ayers who won the adult basket and Evan Truett who won the Children’s basket.  Thank you to all who purchased tickets.  All proceeds go to our building restoration fund.

Join us this Friday April 27 at 6:30 pm as we celebrate Arbor and Earth Day.  Learn some neat facts about these days.  Make an Earth friendly craft and get a tree to take home and plant.

On Friday May 4 at 7pm we will be holding a Share your Own Book talk.  It’s the last book talk of the season until fall.  Morrisville State College Professor, Roxanna Pisiak will be facilitating this talk.  Read a favorite book (or two) and come and share them with the rest of the group.  Find some interesting authors and titles to read this summer.

Kiddies Korner will be about “How does your garden grow?” on Tuesday May 8 at 10:30am. Bring your toddler or preschool child in for stories, songs, activities and more!

Attention all kids!  Mother’s Day is coming!  Come into the library on Wednesday May 9 at 6:30pm to make a gift for your mom.

Family Bingo is back at the library on Friday May 11 at 6:30pm.  All kids are guaranteed a prize!  Refreshments will be provided.  Stop in and play a game or two!

Join our Gameboy Club and play with other gameboy enthusiasts.  Join them on Saturday May 12 from 2-4pm.  You can only bring 3 games with your gameboy and EVERYTHING must be marked with your name.

Another important and exciting thing is happening at the library!  Our upstairs renovation project has begun!  Bear with us as we begin to tear out walls and replace old wiring.  This is phase one of many to be able to utilize the upstairs.  If you would like to donate to our building fund, please stop in and talk to me.

Sorry, I have neglected adding new books to my column!  We keep getting so many new ones it’s hard to keep up!  Here’s some:  The Woods by Harlan Coben, Laced by Carol Higgins Clark, The Good Husband of Zebra Drive by Alexander McCall Smith, How Soccer Explains the World by Franklin Foer, Deep Economy by Bill McKibben, I Heard That Song Before by Mary Higgins Clark, Kingdom Come by Tim LaHaye, Fresh Disasters by Stuart Woods, Prime Green: Remembering the Sixties by Robert Stone, and Legend of Mango Sunsets by Dorothea Benton Frank.

Some that should be on our shelves soon are: 2007 Baseball Card Price Guide by Joe Clemens, Way Down Deep by Ruth White, Hunter’s Moon by Randy Wayne White, In an Instant by Lee Woodruff, How Doctors Think by Jerome Groopman, The Marriage Game by Fern Michaels, Back to Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber, Sixth Target by James Patterson, Dream when you are Feeling Blue by Elizabeth Berg, River Knows by Amanda Quick and Body Surfing by Anita Shreve.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
