The Easter Basket raffle is over.  I would like to thank everyone who purchased tickets.  All money raised goes to our building restoration fund.  I will announce the winners of the two baskets next week.

We have brought back the ever popular Gameboy Club this Friday March 28 at 6:30pm.  Bring your gameboy system (color, advance, SP or DS) and share games and have fun with other Gameboy enthusiasts.  You can only bring 3 games with your gameboy and EVERYTHING must be marked with your name.  Feel free to bring a nutritious snack to share as well.

As spring arrives so does the allergy season.  Join us on Monday March 31 at 6:30pm as Nancy Knox of Knox Chiropractic in Canastota talks about allergies and sinus.  Get your allergies in check before the allergy season begins!

Our Kiddies Korner, preschool story hour, will meet again on Tuesday April 1 for “Don’t Be Fooled”.  Children ages toddler to preschool are welcome to attend.  Story hour meets every other Tuesday in the program room at 10:30am.  Come hear songs, stories and more!  If you can’t make it that day, join us Tuesday April 15 for “Dirt and Mud”.

Pictionary Night returns to the Library on Friday April 4 at 6:30pm.  Bring the family in for some Pictionary!  We will make two teams and see who are the ultimate drawers!

The ER Andrews Elementary artwork will be on display soon in the Library’s Program room.  Come see all of our aspiring artists work here.  Join us on Saturday April 5 from noon to 2pm and view the spectacular artwork of Pre-K through 6th grade at our Art Reception!  Meet some of the artists and enjoy some goodies too.

Please join us for the rescheduled Legislative Brunch on Friday April 11 from 12-2pm.  Meet some of our legislators and share with them some of your great library stories!  Come show them how much you love our library!

Also on Friday the 11th at 7pm, we will have another book talk.  The book being discussed is The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield.  Copies can be picked up now at the circulation desk.

Its tax time again!  We do not have any forms here at the library but we can guide you in the right direction online.  If you are looking for a particular form we can find it for you.  We can even print them for you for $0.10 a page.   If you need the websites to access the forms at home or would like the numbers to call and get your own through the mail, check out our website and click on “Income Tax Information” on our home page, www.midyork.org/morrisville.

A message from our Library Board President:  Many of you know, our wonderful, longtime employee, Bette Slocum has retired because of health problems. Bette can never really be replaced. Her helpful, caring and cheerful ways became a part of our library and we are already missing her. Happily for us though, Bette plans to come back as a volunteer just as soon as her health permits. Until that becomes possible we will stay in touch with her and hope our patrons will do the same. Please give her a call or drop a card to let her know that you appreciate her many years of looking out for all of us at the library.  Just call any of the staff at the library for Bette’s contact information.

We are starting a graphic novel collection.  If you have any rated G or PG graphic novels you would like to donate to this collection please see me.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
