Our Easter Basket Raffle is back!  We are raffling off a children’s basket and an adult one.  The children’s basket is on display now at the library.  The adult one will be delivered a day or two before the drawing as it’s a flowering basket.  Use it as a centerpiece for your Easter table and then plant the flowers outside after.  Tickets are a dollar a piece and can be purchased from any Library Board member or at the library.  We will be picking the winners on Friday April 6 at 6:30pm.  Need not be present to win.  All proceeds go to help restore and renovate the library.

Due to inclement weather Jim Ford’s Book Signing scheduled for March 5 was postponed to Friday March 30 at 6:30pm.  Join us then and view a slide show and hear him talk about his 4 volume history called FOOTPRINTS THROUGH TIME. At this time only Journal One, 1785-1881 is available, but the others will be published throughout the rest of this year. The first journal will be on display for purchasing and for signing tonight.

Join us this Friday March 16 at 6:30pm for Green Day!  Help us celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early!  Wear green and come and enjoy some green crafts and activities and some green food!!!

The Gameboy club will be meeting on Saturday March 17 from 2-4pm.  Come in and share games and have fun with other Gameboy enthusiasts.  You can only bring 3 games with your gameboy and EVERYTHING must be marked with your name.  Bring a nutritious snack to share as well.  PLEASE NOTE THE NEW TIME!

Join Library Aide, Jody Luce, as she teaches the basics of sewing on Monday March 19 at 6:30pm.  Registration is required as space is limited.  Please sign up before Friday March 16.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday March 20 at 6:30pm in the library’s program room.  The public is welcome to attend.

Kiddies Korner will be about bunnies and there will also be an Easter Egg Hunt on Tuesday March 27 at 10:30am.  Bring your toddler or preschool child in for stories, songs, activities and more!  If you can’t make that day, join them on Tuesday April 10 for Under the Sea.  Copies of the complete story hour schedule can be obtained at the circulation desk.

Join us on Wednesday March 28 at 6:30pm to celebrate something on a stick day. Join us as we make crafts on a stick and enjoy some yummy food that comes on a stick.  FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

For our teen night we are doing a book to movie night on Friday April 20 at 6:30pm.  We will be watching BIG FISH which was adapted from BIG FISH: A NOVEL OF MYTHIC PROPORTIONS by Daniel Wallace.  Copies of the book can be picked up at the circulation desk now.  Read it and then watch the movie and make comparisons.  Was the book better than the movie?  What was different?  Refreshments will be served at the movie.

Be sure to check out the beautiful artwork on display now in the Library’s Program Room.  The ER Andrews Elementary students have done a wonderful job!  Their work will be on display for the rest of this month and part of April.

Jennifer Forward’s cows are back in the front foyer display case.  She has a stuffed cow collection of 27 (and counting) so she will have her new ones on exhibit that have been acquired since last year’s display.
