Can you believe it is almost Easter already?  Our third annual Easter Basket Raffle has begun.  We are raffling off a children’s basket and an adult one.  The children’s basket will be on display soon.  The adult one will be delivered a day or two before the drawing as it’s a flowering basket.  Use it as a centerpiece for your Easter table and then plant the flowers outside after.  Tickets are a dollar a piece and can be purchased from any Library Board member or at the library.  We will be picking the winners on Friday March 21 at 6:30pm.  Need not be present to win.  All proceeds go to help restore and renovate the library.

On Friday March 14 at 6:30pm, join us for Hippity Hoppity, Easter’s on its Way!  Come celebrate Easter with us as we read stories, do some crafts and learn about the various different icons of Easter.

Our Kiddies Korner, preschool story hour, will meet again on Tuesday March 18 for “Hippity Hop”.  Children ages toddler to preschool are welcome to attend.  Story hour meets every other Tuesday in the program room at 10:30am.  Come hear songs, stories and more!  If you can’t make it that day, join us Tuesday April 1 for “Don’t Be Fooled”.

Join us for Family Movie night on Friday March 21 at 6:30pm.  We will be watching a new release about some popular insects.  Refreshments will “bee” provided.  Hope you can join us!

Think Spring! with us on Wednesday March 26 at 6:30pm. Spring is right around the corner!  Come and enjoy it with us as we read stories, make a craft and await the warmer season!

We have brought back the ever popular Gameboy Club on Friday March 28 at 6:30pm.  Bring your gameboy system (color, advance, SP or DS) and share games and have fun with other Gameboy enthusiasts.  You can only bring 3 games with your gameboy and EVERYTHING must be marked with your name.  Feel free to bring a nutritious snack to share as well.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday March 18 at 6:30pm in the Library’s program room.  The public is welcome to attend.

Its tax time again!  We do not have any forms here at the library but we can guide you in the right direction online.  If you are looking for a particular form we can find it for you.  We can even print them for you for $0.10 a page.   If you need the websites to access the forms at home or would like the numbers to call and get your own through the mail, check out our website and click on “Income Tax Information” on our home page, www.midyork.org/morrisville.

We have an immediate position open for a Library Aide for evening and Saturday hours. Applicant must be a reliable, detail-oriented, independent worker with strong computer and customer service skills. Responsibilities include serving patrons, shelving books and other duties as needed. Applications will be accepted until March 21 and can be picked up during library hours.

Come grab some good books for those spring-like days ahead!  We have lots on our new shelves!  Some are: Honor Thyself by Danielle Steel, Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella, Change of Heart by Jody Picoult, Ancient by RA Salvatore, Prisoner of Birth by Jeffrey Archer, Devil’s Bones by Jefferson Bass, Invention of Everything by Samantha Hunt, Free Lunch by David Johnston, Beautiful Children by Charles Bock, Blind Fall by Christopher Rice, Deep Dish by Mary K Andrews, Friend of the Devil by Peter Robinson, and Obedience by Will Lavender.   We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
