On Monday January 8 we began to organize and prepare a puppet theater program.  The puppet show we are trying to do will be Ezra Jack Keats book, A Whistle for Willie.  This program is funded by a grant from the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation.  Please check out his website for lots of wonderful resources at www.Ezra-Jack-Keats.org.  We are still looking for adults and children interested in writing the script, making the puppets and props, creating invitations, helping learn parts, etc.  If you are interested (young or old) please be sure to join us for our next session on Monday January 22 at 6:30pm.  We will be performing this show in the middle of February.

Kiddies Korner will be about Feelings on Tuesday January 30 at 10:30am.  Bring your toddler or preschool child in for stories, songs, activities and more!  If you can’t make that day, join them on Tuesday February 13 for hugs and kisses.  Copies of the complete story hour schedule can be obtained at the circulation desk.

Need to find time to scrapbook?  In a rut and need new ideas?  Bring your tools and pages and join our club!  Work on your current project with other fellow scrapbookers in the area. We will meet this Saturday January 20 from 1-4pm.

Join us for Kazoo night on Friday January 26 at 6:30pm.  We will make kazoos and do some other crazy things as well!

On Wednesday February 7 at 6:30pm we will be having a pet responsibility night.  The Wanderer’s Rest in Canastota will be coming out to show you how to care for your pet.  They will be bringing some pets needing adoption too.  The entire month of February we will be hosting an animal needs drive.  There are several items that the Wanderer’s Rest could use for cats and dogs.  I will give more details next week.

The next adult book talk will be on Wednesday February 14 at 12pm.  The book being discussed is Anne Tyler’s Digging to America.  Copies can be picked up at the circulation desk now.  Feel free to bring a light lunch or snack too.

Some other programs for February are:  Twister night, a Valentine party, Whistle for Willie Puppet Show, Teen Karaoke, Adult Floral Design, and Hoodie Hoo Night.  Details to follow in the coming weeks.  Feel free to grab a copy of our programming newsletter on the circulation desk for descriptions of all our programs.  They are also on our website at www.midyork.org/morrisville.

Its tax time again already!  We do not have any forms here at the library but we can guide you in the right direction online.  If you are looking for a particular form we can find it for you.  We can even print them for you for $0.10 a page.   If you need the websites to access the forms at home or would like the numbers to call and get your own through the mail, check out our website and click on “Income Tax Information” on our home page.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
