LOCAL OFFICES FOR THE AGING
Here is a great resource for information of all types concerning the care of your aging loved one. Your state & local OFA can answer all of the questions that plague you from Medicare/Medicaid issues to in-home and adult day care services. Give them a call. They'll be glad to help!

AARP
Formerly known as the American Association of Retired Persons, AARP is a nonprofit membership organization. Their purpose is to address the needs and interests of people 50 and older. See their Care and Family Message Board section.

AGING PARENTS AND ELDERCARE SUPPORT GROUP
An easy to use message board from the Aging Solutions website. Just click on 'New Topic' to ask your own questions or to answer someone else's! Also great for just browsing to see who else might be dealing with the same situation you find yourself in at the moment.

CAREGIVER.COM DISCUSSION GROUP
The discussion forum for Caregiver Magazine's website. Offers a Guest link of read-only access to allow you a preview before signing up.

Produced by the nonprofit Center for Family Caregivers, this comforting, user-friendly site offers online support groups, divided into different areas of need.

CHILDREN OF AGING PARENTS: CAPs
Children of Aging Parents is a nonprofit, charitable organization whose mission is to assist the nation's nearly 54 million caregivers by providing reliable information, referrals and support. Join their support group on Yahoo!

FAMILY CAREGIVER ALLIANCE: National Center on Caregiving

Often described as a "one-stop shopping center for caregivers," the FCA offers a nicely moderated caregiver discussion group.

FAMILY CAREGIVING 101
A website developed in conjunction with the NFCA, it includes a caregiver's message board. Also see their listing of support groups.

CARESSENTIALS.COM CAREGIVER CONNECTION
A telephone support group that allows you to talk to other caregivers. Get insight, support, understanding and advice from people who truly know what it means to be a caregiver.
