“THEN AND NOW” EXHIBITION BECOMES PERMANENT DISPLAY AT THE
CAZENOVIA PUBLIC LIBRARY
“Then and Now,” an exhibit of
historic photographs of Cazenovia’s architectural past compared
with the existing buildings today, was on display at the Cazenovia
Public Library Art Gallery during March of 2005.
At that time, guest curator and graphic
designer Roger DeMuth mounted the exhibit in conjunction with the
Mayor’s Advisory Committee to Conserve Cazenovia Historic
Resources.
This exhibit is now permanently displayed
in the Library Community Room. It is compiled from the photo
collections of area collectors Dave Porter, Jon Holstein, Steve and
Carol Resnick, Gene Gissin, Rayburn Beale, The Cazenovia Public Library
Archives, and Lorenzo State Historic Site.
More than 150 images from
Cazenovia’s past and present are included. Historic
postcards, photos, visiting cards, stereopticon images, and tintypes
all reveal significant 19th and 20th-century buildings.
